FAQs

Waggin' Tails Animal Inn

  • Are you locally and family owned?

Indeed, we are. Our business has been locally owned, family-operated, and woman-led since 2005. We're proud to serve our community with over 35 years of combined experience in pet care.
  • What does "all-inclusive" boarding mean at your facility?

Our all-inclusive boarding service means one nightly rate covers everything your pet needs for a comfortable stay. This includes supervised playtime tailored to your pet's energy level, swimming for dogs who enjoy it, attention from our certified staff, premium pet food (or your own if you prefer), and personalized attention if needed. We charge by the night, not by the day, offering you more value and flexibility.
  • Do I need to have my dog evaluated before their stay?

An evaluation isn't necessary before boarding. However, we offer a complimentary day of doggie day camp for first-time clients. This allows your dog to become familiar with our staff and environment. We recommend calling in advance to schedule this free day camp visit.
  • Do you offer tours of your facility?

Absolutely. We provide free tours of our pet resort. We'd be delighted to show you around and address any questions you might have in person. Please call us to arrange your visit. We look forward to meeting you and your pet.
  • What grooming services do you offer?

We have a full time groomer and full service pet spa. Our full grooming services include breed-specific hair cuts, deshed treatments, baths and brush outs, pedicures, and anal gland expression. Please call our email our office for pricing and availability.
  • Do you offer dog training?

We do! Our AKC certified trainers offer onsite, one-on-one training during Day camp or off-site at your home or location of your choice. We also have training classes throughout the year including our Wag' N Train (basic training), Canine Good Citizen, and Puppy Train classes. Please call or email our office for pricing and availability.
  • Do you have more than one location?

Our Fulshear location, Waggin' Tails Pet Ranch, is also all-inclusive and offers the same all-inclusive services as Waggin' Tails Animal Inn. Check out that location at www.waggintailspetranch.com
  • What happens if my pet becomes ill during their boarding stay?

If your pet becomes ill and needs medical attention, we try and have them seen by your veterinarian. If not possible, we will take them to an emergency vet. Our We treat every pet who boards with us as if they are our own; their care and comfort are our highest priority. We charge a nominal fee per pet, per stay for our guests who qualify* to be covered under our Vet Warranty. The Vet Warranty covers vet bills up to $500 incurred by an illness or injury due to boarding up to 7 days after the pet leaves the Ranch.
  • What should I bring with my dog for their boarding stay?

You can bring anything that makes them comfortable- toys, bedding, treats, etc. We provide a cot and bedding if needed.
  • How do I find out how my dog did during their boarding stay?

Our staff gives report cards for all dogs' first boarding or Day camp visit. We will also answer any specific questions you have when you pick up. You are also welcome to call our email to check on your dog during their stay.
  • I'm leaving my dog over a holiday when you are closed- who will take care of my dog that day?

There are several holidays a year when our office is closed for drop offs and pick ups, but our kennel staff is here 365 days/year, providing excellent care for our boarding pets.
  • How does your Day camp pricing work?

Our Day camp is $32/day for those who only need an occasional day and want to pay each visit. For our clients whose dogs come frequently or on a regular schedule, we have punch card packages available. Baths and rinses are an additional charge.
  • I want to bring my dog to Day camp on the days I go into the office. How early can I drop off? Do you feed my dog during Day camp?

We offer Day camp Monday-Friday. Dogs can be dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6:00pm. We do not feed dogs during Day camp for safety reasons.
  • Do you accept non-spayed and non-neutered dogs?

Yes, we do. Waggin’ Tails will do everything possible to get your dog(s) into a playgroup or playgroups but it is our policy to restrict playgroups (NOT playtime) for non-neutered and/or non-spayed dogs. We are very careful how we place dogs into playgroups and safety is our number one concern. While some dogs play well with non-neutered/non-spayed dogs, many will “bully” or attack the non-neutered/non-spayed pet without any other provocation. Waggin’ Tails staff members are responsible for watching and monitoring multiple playgroups and may choose to play with your dog in a solo situation if there are no safe playgroups available. Please feel free to ask us any questions you have regarding our safety policies.
  • My female dog is in heat. Can I still board her?

For safety reasons, female dogs may not come to Waggin' Tails while in heat or up to 14 days past active heat. We also do not accept pregnant dogs.
